The Wheel of Fortune
The wheel is not a clock, love. It neither ticks nor demands you check in with it constantly. It doesn’t remind or cajole or try to guilt you into rushing so as not to be late.
The wheel is a ball. Throw it and it sets things in motion. Trust it’ll land where it needs to. You don’t have to hurry over to find out how close it rests to some goal set long ago, that was perhaps set for you.
The wheel rolls without a push from you. If you kick it up, the air will receive it and it’ll bounce along with or without your support or encouragement. Wisdom and pleasure, substance and ethereal amusement.
Wheel wisdom says Let. Let yourself. Let yourself believe you are guided, loved, and that each turn of the wheel spins the wheat into its own kind of gold. Trust. You are neither powerless nor in charge. Yours is to take a step and then another, feel the momentum, the way the air and the clouds and the wheel and all the winged ones conspire for your progress and your joy.
